When we first dreamt up this project, it wasn’t about launching a brand. It was just the two of us, two restless hearts glued to headlines that broke us, praying our guilt into late-night phone calls and half-finished ideas.
We saw faces that looked like ours under rubble, families making do with nothing, and felt the same ache night after night: how can we sit still? So we didn’t. We started small. We scraped together our own savings. We made mistakes, learned fast, and gave every spare minute to building something we weren’t even sure would work.
Before our hands knew what to do and our feet knew where to stand, our hearts tied themselves to a cause bigger than both of us. That’s where SoulTies really began.
Back then, we knew two things for sure: we didn’t want pity campaigns, and we didn’t want people to donate once and forget. We wanted them to feel connected, like their soul had a string tied to someone else’s across the world.
The name came to us in one of those long, sleepy calls where the best ideas slip out when you’re too tired to overthink. “SoulTies.” Simple. Human. It felt right because it captured exactly what we felt: an invisible knot pulling strangers together, quietly but powerfully.
To us, a SoulTie is a promise. It’s what happens when you see injustice and instead of scrolling past, you pause. You give. You pray. You share. You do something, even if no one knows but you and God.
In the early days, those ties looked like nights at the kitchen table. We would handwrite thank-you notes, wrap bracelets in a simple microfiber cloth we bought with our own money, and triple-check addresses because we couldn’t afford mistakes.
It wasn’t fancy. Sometimes it was messy. But each bracelet that found its way to someone’s wrist meant one more bond formed. One more soul unwilling to stand idle.
Calling this SoulTies keeps us from getting lost in numbers or hype. It brings us back every time we drift. When things get hectic or the to-do list feels endless, we remind each other: this is not just a shop. Not a side project. Not even just a nonprofit.
This is proof that a bond, once tied, stays strong. Faith and compassion will always matter more than trends.
If you wear something we made, if you ever donated a dollar, if you’ve whispered a du’a for our mission, you’re part of this. The truth is, it started with two souls but it was always meant for more.
Every bracelet, every hoodie, every campaign that feeds a family or funds a surgery carries your quiet promise: I care. I see you. I’m with you.
That is what SoulTies means. Two people began it. All of you keep it alive.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for being our tie to the world we want to build, softer, safer, more merciful, knot by knot.
