What You’ll Be Doing

SoulTies is growing — and to keep doing this work, we need funding not just for causes, but for our own team, systems, and long-term runway. As a volunteer grant writer, you’ll help us find and apply for funding that supports internal growth. You’ll research grants, write proposals using our story and language, and help us stay financially solid. You don’t need to be a pro. You just need to be a strong writer who gets what we’re about and can work independently.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Research grants focused on youth-led orgs, community work, and nonprofit infrastructure
  • Write and submit proposals that support operational needs (not just external aid)
  • Track deadlines, submissions, and potential funder relationships
  • Help us build systems to apply more efficiently over time

Why This Matters

Movements need money. You’ll help fund the behind-the-scenes work that keeps SoulTies alive — everything from our team and tools to our campaigns and growth. If you’ve ever wanted to support justice work without always being on the frontlines, this is your lane.

You’re a Good Fit If...

  • You write clearly and persuasively
  • You’re organized and proactive
  • You have some experience in grants or nonprofit writing — or you’re confident you can learn
  • You believe in our mission and want to keep it funded
